​How It All Began
​
What began as an operational project for Alberta Health Services quickly evolved into a technology-driven solution. The initial objective was to address a critical gap in physician communication during a Code Orange an emergency designation used across many Canadian healthcare systems for incidents involving mass casualties that could overwhelm hospital capacity.
Recognizing this need, our team collaborated closely with frontline hospital personnel to design and develop the Disaster Communication System (DCS) a real-time communication application built to ensure swift, reliable coordination during critical events.
